The honorees are Hon. Solomon Zosu, Executive Director of Badagry Parrot Media House and Senior Special Assistant on Information, Tourism & Special Works to the Executive Chairman of Badagry West LCDA, who will be conferred with the title Gbonugan of Badagry; and Mrs. Pentho Francis, a veteran broadcaster with Radio Nigeria known for her remarkable work in promoting the Ogu language through journalism, who will be conferred with the title Linlingan of Badagry.
Speaking ahead of the event, Aholu Agano Toniyon I commended both individuals for their unwavering service to the Badagry community through the power of media. “Their tireless contributions to grassroots journalism and community development are truly commendable. This recognition is a well-deserved honor for their years of impactful work,” he said.
The chieftaincy conferment ceremony is set to take place at the royal palace in Ajara Agamathen, and will draw royal fathers, government officials, community leaders, and media professionals from across the region.
Beyond marking a personal milestone, the event also highlights the monarch’s deep appreciation for the role of media in preserving cultural heritage and fostering social development — reinforcing his commitment to recognizing excellence in service to the community.
